My classes are all inclusive, with begining basic signing for the novice. We will cover some history of the use of a "Manual" language in the first few sessions, along with on going instrucion related to Deaf Culture in the USA. The structure of ASL is part of my curriculum and we begin in our first session with some very basic vocabulary lessons. Fingerspelling is also a part the vocabulary component. I also include an objective for each individual session at the begining of each class. This helps the student to clarify what will be covered in each class, and l visually display that in writing so that all of my students can refer to the objective during that specific class. An emphasis on some helpful hints along the way as we begin to explore a new way to communicate without sounds.
