About the lesson
I started music by taking private violin lessons as well as classes in the 4th grade. I was active in church and school choirs for many years and played percussion in my Jr high school band. At the age of 15 I picked up guitar and within 8 months I had my first paying gig. I have received several private lessons in guitar and vocals as well as taking college classes in music theory, music reading and guitar. I never stop learning and am always looking for ways to better myself and my students.

I don't have a lot of experience teaching as I have spent most of my life playing shows and touring. The students I have had have ranged from beginners to intermediate and all of them were able to learn the fundamental musical concepts that helped them gain enough independence to enjoy their instruments.
