- I try and figure out what sort of work my student is trying to write and use that as the foundation. Every book is a different construction and different books require vastly different approaches.

- Once the student has settled on the sort of book they want to create, we focus on drawing relevant sources to work with. Historical Fiction writers will be pointed to relevant works of Historical Fiction etc.
