Ombudsman
Mathematics Instructor January 2016 – June 2019

I taught mathematics classes at the middle and high school levels. I also taught and assisted with various classes in science, English, history, and electives. I maintained contact with students and parents concerning grades and how to be successful. I maintained grades, syllabi, and action plans, both hard-copy and online.

Fortis College
Mathematics / Computer Instructor April 2014 – December 2015

I taught college and pharmaceutical mathematics to traditional and non-traditional students. I also taught Microsoft Office and Business Communication computer classes.

Chattahoochee Technical College
Mathematics Teacher February 2010 – December 2015

I taught mathematics classes to traditional and non-traditional students. I am always examining different methods of presentation for the most successful results for my students, and I am extremely perceptive to whether a student comprehends the material. If a student communicates understanding, I challenge him with a problem to prove his grasp of the subject matter. I believe accountability is the key to overall understanding.

Genuine Parts
Buyer/ Business Analyst April 2007 - January 2010

Process improvement analysis was a daily task as I configured a proper balance of the necessary parts to be ordered to maintain inventory levels at 50 retail outlets. I earned my Six Sigma Green Belt certification during my tenure. I oversaw a project that analytically discovered changing the ordering delay from 2 to 7 days provided $3.8 million in savings. Forecasting trends were constantly preserved through statistical analysis. I maintained relationships with store managers, distribution centers, and factories. Additionally, I took on the role of trainer for new employees and coworkers.

Eaton Academy
Teacher/ Trainer January 2003 - April 2007

I taught mathematics classes to traditional students that were expelled from their high schools due to behavioral problems. This experience strengthened my ability to interact with people of all types of thought processes and personalities.

Kennesaw State University
Tutor/Trainer December 2000 - December 2002

I managed the math lab’s daily activities and the math tutors. I supervised 5-7 tutors daily. The tutors had various skills, so I aligned tutor strengths with student needs to ensure that students were getting the help required.

Express Pay
PC Specialist-Senior Payroll Specialist November 1997 - December 2000

I demonstrated the functions and various uses of the company’s payroll software to coworkers and sales staff, went on sales calls to assist with implementation questions, and analyzed client’s needs and abilities to suggest products that best fit. Ongoing training of clients, payroll specialists, and troubleshooting was a daily requirement. As a senior specialist, I supervised 10 payroll specialists. I monitored the level of accuracy and customer service provided for client satisfaction and retention, provided insight into how to best handle customers and their payroll needs, and provided positive and developmental feedback as required.
