Methodology

I am a born and bred New Yorker with a college level degree. Together, we will study English through a variety of contexts (literature, modern news, etc.) and mediums (radio, movies, newspapers, etc.). I see class as a team effort, so the materials we will use will reflect both our interests and our experiences in the world. We will have a lot of discussions!

Background

I have almost a decade tutoring both native and non-native English speakers and have taught more than 70 students. I currently teach for the Borough of Manhattan Community college. Students have left my class secure in English sentence construction and vocal about bringing the content we discussed back to their friends, families, and communities.
