About Wendy

I have been tutoring math and science for over 3 years now, as both a private math tutor and with various well known tutoring companies in the greater Los Angeles area. I have worked with well over a hundred students during this time. My proudest accomplishments have been getting students who are failing their math and/or science courses pass their class(es) with at least a B average.

I have a bachelor's degree in Astronomy and Applied and Computational Math from USC. I also completed a graduate degree at UCLA in Space Physics. I provide math lessons and science lessons to students of all ages, from elementary to college. I have tutored students with algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, biology and SAT math. I am very patient and will explain concepts until it makes sense to my students. The best way to learn math is by doing math, so I make sure that my students get enough practice during our lessons. And just as important as getting enough practice is knowing why things work the way they do, so I also ensure that my students truly understand the underlying math concepts being emphasized in each problem.
