About Chloe

My name is Chloe and I’m a final-year English and French student at Queen’s University Belfast, currently on track for a First-Class Honours degree. I have a genuine passion for languages and education, and I’m committed to helping students build both skill and confidence in French at GCSE and A-Level. My decision to tutor comes from a genuine love of language and a desire to support others in achieving their goals. I’ve always found it rewarding to help others learn — from supporting younger students with GCSE French while I was still at school, to teaching English in France through the British Council, and leading immersive language sessions as a Language Counsellor. These experiences have strengthened both my teaching skills and my commitment to helping learners succeed. Beyond academics, I’ve trained and competed in karate at a national level. I’ve also coached younger members of my club and led virtual PE sessions during the COVID-19 lockdown — experiences that strengthened my communication skills and ability to engage learners of all ages. These roles taught me the value of discipline, encouragement, and adaptability, all of which I bring to my teaching. My lessons are calm, focused, and tailored to each student. I take time to understand how you learn best, offering clear explanations, structured practice, and regular feedback. As a tutor, I aim to create a focused yet supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. Whether you're preparing for exams, tackling coursework, or simply want to improve your fluency, I’m here to help you succeed.

About the lesson

I offer focused, friendly tutoring in French for GCSE and A-Level students. My approach is interactive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building strong foundations in grammar, essay writing, and oral fluency, while also offering exam-specific guidance and feedback. Lessons typically last one hour and can be delivered online. I have previous experience tutoring GCSE French while still in school, supporting younger students with both written and spoken work. More recently, I’ve worked as an English Language Assistant in France with the British Council, as well as a Language Counsellor at a French language immersion camp, leading engaging lessons and cultural activities. My lessons are ideal for students aged 14 to 18 who are preparing for exams, working on coursework, or simply looking to improve their language skills.
