About Brian

I earned a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics from Iowa State University. I then enrolled at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. I was admitted to the Illinois Bar. I passed the Certified Public Accountant exam. I earned a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree focusing on financial services law, capital markets, and regulatory compliance. I passed the Certified Financial Planner certification examination in 2005 and 2017. I passed the Chartered Financial Analyst program Level 1 examination. I am currently preparing to sit for the Level 2 exam again. I have held FINRA SIE Series 6, 7, 31, 63, 65 and 66 licenses.

My experience includes Chicago Stock Exchange, Morgan Stanley, Northwestern Mutual, private law firms, Office of the State of New York Attorney General, compliance firms, exam prep firms, tutoring platforms and FINRA.

I've tutored professionals on FINRA exams for over 600 hours during the last 4 years including professionals from Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Vanguard, Fidelity, New York Life, and Northwestern Mutual. I receive strong testimonials especially for simplifying options. Previously, I was a content editor for the Series 6. I am currently a tutor, practicing attorney, and active trader.

In 2009, I was introduced to Candlestick analysis through a global trading education company where I was fortunate enough to have been taught by one of the most successful technical traders in the history of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. After years of my own frustration, and my own significant losses, in 2015, my ability to analyze candlestick charts crystallized. My goal is to help students actively interpret charts like a cardiologist reads an electrocardiogram.
