About Malyna

I like to make sure my students are enjoying their lessons and are able to learn at their own pace so they can be confident in their understanding of the subject. I have successfully taught people who have never drawn a portrait before how to sketch their own self-portrait and I've been told multiple times that I'm a patient teacher.

I enjoy teaching how to draw and/or paint portraits, landscapes, animals, objects, etc. with pencils, colored pencils, oil pastels, chalk pastels, charcoal, and markers. I have the art supplies just mentioned as well as sketch paper, erasers, blending tortillons, etc. but if you have your own, please bring them! :) I usually show my students how to draw step by step by drawing a step first to the student can see how, having the student draw the step that I just drew, make any necessary corrections, and then continue onto the next steps in the same way. Tips on how to care for art supplies are included in the lesson. Music helps with creativity so if you'd like, I can play clean music that we both enjoy in the background during lessons. :)
