About Isla
My interest in French began during my early language studies when I became fascinated by the elegance and musical sound of the language. I enjoyed exploring French literature and learning about the traditions and history of French-speaking cultures. This curiosity encouraged me to pursue formal education in French, eventually completing a Bachelor’s degree in French followed by a Master’s in French Linguistics.
During the past 7 years, I have taught French to students with many different goals. Some learners wanted to prepare for travel or academic programs, while others simply wanted to explore a new language for personal growth. Teaching students from different backgrounds helped me develop adaptable teaching strategies.
My teaching style focuses on clear communication, supportive guidance, and steady language development. I create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and practicing the language regularly. Helping learners gain confidence in French communication and enjoy the process of language learning is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my teaching experience.

My French lessons focus on helping students communicate comfortably while gradually building a strong understanding of grammar and vocabulary. Learning a language becomes easier when students practice using it actively in conversation rather than only memorizing rules. In my lessons, learners strengthen their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through structured activities that encourage regular language use.
Each lesson usually begins with pronunciation exercises and short conversation activities. Students practice everyday vocabulary and simple sentence patterns that allow them to express ideas clearly. These activities help learners become familiar with the natural rhythm and sound of French while improving their speaking confidence.
As students continue learning, lessons include grammar explanations, reading passages, and writing exercises that strengthen language accuracy. Students also participate in guided discussions that allow them to practice forming complete sentences and sharing their thoughts in French. My goal is to help learners become confident communicators while also appreciating the cultural richness connected to the French language.
