Fun and experienced mathematics tutor providing quality math lessons in Los Angeles

Methodology

My teaching method varies depending on the context. That is if I am teaching a class, I believe that the best way for learning mathematics is by doing math through group work and practice. I've taught students from all walks of the academic spectrum - elementary school to college level mathematics. My goal is simple and straightforward: make mathematics easy, accessible fun and relevant!

Background

I am a recent Middlebury College (a top liberal arts college) graduate and future Cornell University engineering graduate student with lots of energy and passion to share the world of mathematics. I have taught and tutor mathematics for more than 5 years to over 100 students.

In college, I became a tutor and teaching assistant for the mathematics department at my school where I helped students in Calculus 1,2,3 and linear algebra. My passion for mathematics and research led me to land internships with the Department of Homeland Security where I mainly oversaw a research project in Operations Research (a branch in applied mathematics). Additionally, last summer I landed another internship in mathematics education that allowed me to teach math at Brown University and later that summer I worked with UCLA professor Teran on Fluid Dynamics research (yet another branch of applied Mathematics). This upcoming Fall semester I will start graduate school at Cornell University School of Engineering.
