About the lesson
As a well-rounded person who dedicated four years of his college life studying and mastering the concept of biology, chemistry, and mathematics. In addition to my expertise in these concepts, my prior tutoring experience provided me with the necessary steps to a successful learning experience. As a tutor, I took the time to research my students and connect with them on interpersonal levels, delving into their strengths and weaknesses and applying them during interactions. I want to share the methods and techniques that I acquired with anyone that can utilize them to make education enjoyable and exciting. I adopted various ways to teach my lessons using programs such as Pinterest, (concealed information), adventure academy, paper activities, and vocabulary spelling city to teach 1st graders to college students. Now that I have completed my biology degree, I want to expand my reach to tutor both high school and college students in my community.

Hi, my name is Yaw Parry. I have a four-year biology degree in education and have been tutoring for 5 years and a half. I've had excellent tutors and mentors in school and jobs, and I appreciate how much their support and guidance have contributed to my growth. Their qualities of explaining things well to my understanding, listening, and showing a fun learning experience are what shaped me to teach and tutor. My expertise lies in biology, chemistry, and mathematics(algebra, trigonometry, physics, statistics, etc.) My job is to help you simplify these concepts at your own pace and if you are looking to advance your skills, I can help you master them and get a head start. Science was not always my favorite subject during my early years of schooling. Instead, I found an interest in mathematics and hoped to be an engineer. Late into my senior year of high school, I made a decision that challenged my abilities and my skills even to this day. I knew I was very good at math and liked the idea of becoming an engineer, but I didn't love it and it filled me with a lot of doubts heading into college. I was limited to only one interest and I began to realize that I have always had other interests in science such as medicine and was always eager to help people. One thing I have learned through my journey is that one subject is not the only determining factor for what you are going to be but it's about having an open mind in learning new things that shapes your global perception of life.
Yaw was extremely patient with me and he actually helped me to enjoy learning Math. I greatly improved my grades in all of my Math classes while being tutored by him. His approach to teaching is certainly one of a kind and if I had to take any more Math classes in the future, I wouldn't think twice about getting assistance from him. If you're looking for someone who is going to allow you be your best at understanding and learning, even the most difficult of concepts, Yaw is your best option.
Great teacher, he helped me learn everything from scratch. My understanding of math and science has improved and expanded with Yaw’s tutoring. I highly recommend using his services, his methods of teaching and explaining is well-thought and put together. He reassures if you understand the concept and induces you to come back to the lesson. As I say again, I highly recommend his tutoring if you truly want to understand and a break down of what you are learning.
Never had such a sharp, commited tutor help me like Yaw did!
Yaw taught me about perseverance and sacrifice. When he put his mind to achieving something he wouldn’t complain. He would stay up as late as he had to and sacrifice having fun to get the work done. No matter how many excuses he could’ve given, accepting failure is never an option for him. Some people say work now and play later. He believes in work now and work later. He is truly a valuable person and brings unmatched contagious positive energy to any setting he goes to.
Truly an awesome teacher. After watching his videos and presentations, I was able to understand Calculus from a well demonstrated view. Yaw was a live saver, I don’t think I would have passed my Calculus class with a 93% if I didn’t learn from him.
