I approach the topic of chemistry by first understanding that it is a very difficult subject and, to those who are struggling in it, it can be infuriating. I generally like to first understand the approach of the subject by the professor (ie. textbook readings, lesson plan, assignment questions, etc) and then building a base of knowledge that the student is able to look back on as a solid set of rules to follow for the subject. My actual teaching style is a discussion between the student and myself so that they are able to communicate their needs to me and where they need the most help on a topic.
I am a Chemist with an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a focus of physical chemistry. I have been tutoring students for around two years now, usually one on one lessons but am open to expanding. My usual students have little to no past experience in chemistry or mathematics, and ended their semesters with a comprehensive knowledge.
