I like to start lessons with skill review or ice breaking activity which allows a student to feel comfortable in their abilities and engagement. Then I will move into a period of direct instruction with guided practice using Socratic questioning techniques. After this, I want to see how the student works individually before reviewing content together. Ultimately, I will gear my strategies toward the strengths of the individual student. It is my job to understand how someone learns best and then working from there
