About the lesson
My teaching style is about meeting YOU where you're at and progressing from there! My lessons will typically begin with a stretch and functional strength training in order to prepare you for your lesson. I am always open to working on specific skills, or can focus on general technique such as turns, leaps, lines, and movement. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced dancer, I am here to help you fuel your passion for dance and take your skills to the next level!

About Angel
Hello! My name is Angel Strittmater and I am a 22 year old dancer from Prior Lake, MN. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s of Art in Dance and within my major I studied various forms of contemporary, improv, ballet, jazz, heels and african diaspora. During my undergrad I joined the club dance team, in which I was given the opportunity to be a crowd dancer in Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl LII performance. After participating in the club dance team I auditioned and made the official University of Minnesota Dance Team. During this time I performed at Big 10 football and basketball games, competed at the Division 1 nationals, and performed onstage as a cheerleader with the Jonas Brothers during their NCAA March Madness debut performance of “Cool.” Most recently I have been training as an Apprentice with the contemporary company Crash Dance Productions in Minneapolis, while simultaneously taking classes at local studios such as Millenium Dance Complex, TMilly and The Vibe Dance & Fitness to enhance my hip hop and jazz funk skills. Along with this, during the pandemic I participated in Cameron Lee’s virtual mentorship and trained in various street styles. Growing up I had trained and competed with Center Stage Dance Studio in Prior Lake, in which I studied ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, heels, and improvisation.
As a teacher I have been teaching for 5 years and have taught competitive and recreational dancers ranging from ages 4-18+. I have choreographed numerous solos and groups for competitive studios such as Northern Force Dance Company and Center Stage Dance Studio. Along with this, I specialized in teaching jazz, ballet and acrobatic dance at The Vibe Dance & Fitness. During my time at The Vibe I focused on teaching dancers in the fundamentals and advanced knowledge of turns and leaps, training them in core stability and agility. I take an immense amount of pride in teaching my students the proper techniques for both safety and stability, and emphasize an understanding of basic anatomy in order to have dancers have a better knowledge of their body.
