My lessons will be for beginner level students who're looking to get a grasp of python and and an introduction to the world of machine learning, data science and AI development.
My teaching method often involves a lot of conversation with my student as opposed to the traditional style of my explaining something and then expecting a student to be able to answer questions.
I introduce topics, briefly go through them and then propagate the lesson through discussions and examples often trying to get the student to contribute to the discussion as much as possible.
For lab purposes, I often open work along examples with the students and then provide homework for the student to follow at their own leisure in order to help strengthen their background knowledge and practical skills.
As a proven method to help remember complicated material, I will often provide short quiz's to test and reinforce a students memory of the subject.
However, to avoid rigidity, often time, I'll discuss with the student their preferred learning styles and try to adapt my methods as per their comfort zones.
I am Spatial Data analyst with a degree in GIS and background in machine learning. I minored in Japanese during my time at college and have a high level grasp of the language.
Since graduating, I have worked as a spatial and data analyst, often utilizing python as a tool to implement data analytics, machine learning and basic AI development.
