Adults of all English proficiency levels welcome!
Each lesson will include a short warm-up, introduction to new material, a close-ended worksheet activity, then an open-ended writing or speaking activity. Speaking is the most important!
I prioritize practicality over everything - students should learn language they will use every day.
At the first session, I will assess a student's proficiency level. I teach with newspapers, menus, podcasts, music lyrics and poetry!
I previously taught ESL at UCEDA Institute in Red Bank, New Jersey to adults of various proficiency levels and backgrounds. Taught primarily Spanish, Portuguese and Vietnamese-speaking domestic and I-20 Visa students.
I am a graduate student in Sociology Research at American University and would like to become a professor.
I am proficient in Spanish and understand Portuguese and Italian. Committed to making ESL lessons fun and engaging - learning a new language requires a mix of practicality and creativity!
I have a cancellation policy of 1 day - if you cannot make it to our lesson, please tell me within 24 hours! I'm flexible on this.
