Grammar Queen:Experienced secondary English teacher, specializing in literature, composition, and language skills

Methodology

My teaching is tailored to the needs of the learner, but I emphasize that understanding how language works is the beginning of being an astute reader and a competent writer. As an experienced teacher, I evaluate the needs of my students and create lessons that are designed to meet those needs.

Background

After I retired from classroom teaching in a large high school, I continued teaching composition in community colleges and universities in the metropolitan Detroit area. Quite by accident, I became a tutor when an acquaintance hired me to instruct her child. I was inspired to begin my own company, Scribe Services. My students were children, young adults, and senior learners.
