I have experience teaching students from the elementary to college-aged level, and adapt my teaching plans to best suit the needs of the student at hand. Through first clarifying the areas in which the student needs assistance with and then providing a foundation of concise explanations along with practice problems, I encourage self-learning in my students. Critical thinking skills and the retainment of knowledge are the two most important keys to success, and I strive to foster this through my teaching methods.
Hi there! I am currently a college student in a guaranteed medical admissions program, meaning I have a reserved spot at one of the top 20 medical schools in the United States. I have taught about 200 students in total since I first began tutoring 5 years ago, and have had experience helping students in subjects such as algebra, pre-calculus, chemistry, and writing composition.
I graduated in the top 10% of my high school with a 3.9/4.0 GPA, scored a 1570/1600 (which placed me in the 99th percentile) on the SAT, and scored a 34 on the ACT. I also have experience with the SAT Subject Tests, and wrote problems similar in nature to the AMC for a summer mathematics enrichment camp.
