What you can expect from lessons with Paul:
A fun experience tailored to your skill level and musical interests! Learn how to play the music you like while you improve your guitar playing skills. Learn to accompany yourself singing on guitar! And you can always expect to be treated with respect, whatever your level of playing is! Paul Elwood Guitar Coach provides guitar, bass and ukulele lessons in-person and online.

Anyone can benefit from playing guitar! For kids, lessons are a fun way to build discipline and responsibility and a healthy, creative outlet. For teens – all of the above, plus it provides a healthy way to socialize with a mentor. For adults: our lives are busy and complex, and there are no end of things we have to do for other people – work, family, social responsibilities… why not take a half an hour out of your busy week and reconnect with your higher self? Develop your interest and turn it into a passion!

About the lesson

I'm a working musician and I teach private guitar, bass and ukulele lessons out of my home, group lessons for the Rutgers campus online. I give private individual and paired lessons online as well.

I teach every day except Sunday. lessons start at 9:30 and end at 8:00pm EST so I'm sure we can find a day and time that works for you. Your first online lesson (half an hour) is free! This is my way of saying thanks for trying me out! This free online session also helps to ensure that I am a good fit for you as a teacher.

Generally all a player need to improve guitar skills is a helping hand. I treat online lessons the same way as I treat formal in-person lessons, and I'm sure I can get you moving ahead with your playing!

I have online and in-person ukulele, bass and guitar students at all levels and ages so you'll see content that's aimed to help a range from new as well as established players. Remember though- just like each of my students, your own personal lessons are custom-tailored to help you learn to play better and meet your own musical goals.
