About the lesson
I'm a friendly and organised teacher of singing. I've had great results with past students and have successfully prepared singing students for drama school auditions and LAMDA and ABRSM exams.

Singing for children and adults covering basic technique, working on repertoire ranging from musical theatre to pop/rock and classical as well as preparing for ABRSM exams, LAMDA Musical Theatre exams, auditions for drama school entry and other performing work.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I trained at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts graduating with a BA(Hons).
- How much do you charge?
Singing lessons: £30 p/h
24 hours notice is required for cancellations, otherwise the student will be charged the full lesson fee.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at home or in student's homes if they are local.

Monday-Saturday

I'm happy to teach singing to all ages and levels.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I'm happy to prepare and enter singing students for the LAMDA musical theatre exams, the London College of Music Popular Music Vocals exams and ABRSM classical singing exams if they wish.

About Hannah
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have ten years teaching experience with a 100% student pass rate for singing exams. I can play the piano with confidence or I am happy to work with backing tracks if the student prefers. In my lessons I work on basic technique, repertoire ranging from musical theatre to pop/rock and classical, preparation for drama school entry auditions, auditions for professional work or simply pure enjoyment. I regularly teach individual lessons and group sessions throughout London. As a performer myself I have had experience in theatre including 'The Sound of Music' in Kuala Lumpur and have sung at various corporate events at venues including The Ivy Club, London and The Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi. I've recently returned from Naples, Italy, where I was continuing my singing training further.

- Where and with whom did you train?
I trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts on the performance degree course.
I also trained with Alice Farnham at Morley Opera School.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently teach singing at Stagecoach Wimbledon on Saturday's which I greatly enjoy. I teach group classes with children ranging from five years old up to eighteen years old. I also teach some private students at the school and I'm preparing them for Bronze and Silver LAMDA Musical Theatre Examinations.
I have a range of private students, including children and adults, working on their singing for professional reasons, as a hobby and working towards an exam.

Perfect! Great into session - Hannah is very encouraging
Perfect! I've had 5 voice lessons with Hannah and she is my ~first or second voice teacher depending on how you count, so I don't have much to compare her against. We've worked on twang, vowels, soft palate positioning, and core support. I didn't always understand everything immediately but have made progress on all of these and understood some things for the first time. A lot of singing is a lot less effortful and straining than before. Hannah is also really open to different songs and genres: One my request, we've at least briefly looked at pop, folk, classical, and musical and plan to have a look at jazz. I think I've managed to gain a very rough first understanding of how different genres should be sung differently. Hannah is also willing to help me with songs in foreign languages. I also feel comfortable singing in front of her, which is obviously pretty important :)
Overall, I am really happy with what and how quickly I'm learning so far and think Hannah has been a great teacher.

- Hannah's response : It's a pleasure to teach Liz and her daughter Marta each week. They show a real interest in singing and have made a great improvement since we started. We have started working on singing songs in harmony, (a very difficult skill!) and they're progressing really well.

I've been learning to sing with Hannah since April 2017. Initially I just wanted to improve my breathing technique, I never thought I'd be able make a sound that was anywhere near pleasant. I was so self-conscious at first that I found it difficult to let go and sing in full voice in the lessons. Hannah made the lessons so enjoyable and was so encouraging that I persisted. She improved my voice and built my confidence so much, I was even able to sing in front of all my guests at my wedding! I can't recommend her highly enough.

I have worked with Hannah for over a year, and she is the best voice teacher I could have hoped for. She has endless patience with slow learners like me, is super-encouraging all the time, and is happy to go the extra several miles to help me make progress (which I have done eventually)!
