I encourage students to ask questions and try to explain skills in different ways if someone does not understand. Showing examples helps the visual learners see what is expected and different explanations help auditory learners. Also, I try to connect ideas so that students learn how to use the new skills.
I have a Master's in English Education and have taught eighth grade Language Arts, ninth grade English and several college English classes. Also, I have been a tutor in reading, writing, and math for over 17 years. I enjoy helping students learn.
