I have a Master's in history (with a focus on American social history) and am available in the Hampton Roads area.

Methodology

I approach each lesson by offering an introduction and providing some background. I diagnose what the student(s) already know and seek to fill in the gaps. Either individually or with groups, I always encourage questions or clarifications when needed. When there are groups, I would encourage respectful discussion of the topic to foster collaborative learning.

Background

I have a Master's degree in history, with a focus on American social history, from California State University, Sacramento. I have been published and have given a formal presentation on my work at California State University, Fresno in 2018.
