About Maria
I am a motivated and reliable tutor currently studying at Henrietta Barnett School, one of the UK’s top-performing sixth forms. I achieved grade 9s in all 10 of my GCSE subjects and now study Maths, Biology and Chemistry at A level, with predicted A* grades in each. I specialise in tutoring Biology, Chemistry and Maths, as these are the subjects I continue to study in depth. I also hold a tutoring role within my school, supporting GCSE Chemistry students, and have gained substantial experience alongside consistently positive feedback. I take a professional, well-prepared approach to every lesson, ensuring students feel supported, confident, and challenged. My tutoring approach is personalised and focused on understanding rather than memorisation. I explain concepts clearly step by step, encourage questions, and spend a large part of each lesson working through practice questions together to strengthen exam technique. I also provide personal resources that I created which helped me to achieve a high grade 9, which students can use for revision outside of lessons. Lessons are one hour long, delivered online for flexible scheduling. I have experience tutoring GCSE Chemistry students within my school, where I received glowing feedback for being clear, patient, and supportive. My lessons are suitable for Years 7–11, covering KS3 and GCSE content.
