My teaching method is highly adaptable based on the depth of content and student ability. I approach learning with enthusiasm, and create a supportive and fun learning environment through patient teaching and kind humor. For younger students I try to incorporate physical movement into learning to keep them engaged; for older students, I ask what their personal educational goals are and seek to help them along that path as much as possible.
I'm a current Sophomore at Brown University studying Geology and Biology, with additional courses in humanities/social science fields like music theory and foreign policy. Outside of class I play trumpet in the Marching Band and University Wind Ensemble, as well as piano for personal enjoyment. I also enjoy the outdoors and spend most of my free time cycling or hiking, and I am studying to become a Wilderness EMT and work in backcountry rescue operations between undergrad and grad school. I enjoy teaching and working with kids, and hope to be a good role model for students.
