High school senior and published author offering paid tutoring sessions with students in literature, reading, creative writing, and essay writing.

About the lesson

*NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING STUDENTS*
Through virtual connections provided by my school, I have been consulted several times as an English, grammar, reading, and composition tutor. I aid fellow students with the algorithms of grammar, contemporary punctuation, sentence structure, sensory details, figurative language, and rhetorical devices, as well as strengthening and expanding a student’s vocabulary and overall literary knowledge. A student’s willingness to learn and provide writing samples or reading excerpts which they are struggling with is required for me to visually identify and collaborate with the student, accommodating their needs with academic resources, such as easy-to-follow charts, which will improve their performance in the classroom. I work best with students no younger than the sixth grade and have excelled in instances of university-level English, always striving to tailor my teaching to a student’s age and grade level. I can work with a student in person, virtually, or even communicating via email.

About Margaret

As a sincere and diligent student, honest and thorough learning has always been a top priority, and my interests in English were extended to my becoming a published author. Having often collaborated with my personal commissioning editors during the production process of my work, I have been able to collect further insight as a professional and am confident and experienced in my ability to teach. As someone who attends a virtual school and is entirely independent in their learning, I know first hand the value of an interpersonal educational experience rather than the standard procedures of the classroom. In the past, I have been able to witness the growth of my students over the course of months or even years and that gift of knowledge via individualized processes is what I most seek for my students.

Canceling is completely understandable! A student will not be penalized for canceling with time to spare. However, should a student cancel less than 24 hours before the agreed upon session time, I will require 50% compensation of the original session cost, ($7.50 for one hour, $15 for two hours) as I take great care in preparing for students beforehand.
