I teach by example and patient instructions. I also believe any recipe should be adjusted to your taste so don't be afraid to experiment. I start with a basic recipe and go from there. Some of my best dishes came from fails!!! I have been told often, I didn't like that until I tasted yours. So come learn from me and lets spice up that breakfast, lunch or dinner and learn how grandma did it!!!
I am in the public education system teaching primary, but my passion is cooking. My family doesn't eat out often so I cook at least one meal at home daily. I share my dishes at work, with family and friends. I am constantly being asked for my recipe or how I did that!!!! I like making healthy home-made dishes but I take necessary shortcuts to make evening dinners in a time crunch. From 4 hour red beans and rice with fresh ingredients to 40 minute potato soup, I can cater the recipe or ingredients to your liking. I can also use and teach the insta-pot, pressure cooker and vacuum sealer to deal with time constraint cooking and show you how to impart the most flavor into your dishes. You may not know the holy trinity of ingredients for most dishes or what ingredients keep your food from sticking, but I will teach you! We can start from baby steps or skip to advanced. Do you want a simple chicken casserole, enchilada or would you like lobster risotto with creme brulee? Would you prefer gouda stuffed venison? Do you want your kids to learn how to make a grilled cheese, hamburger or mac n cheese? I can work with them too. It is proven kids will try more things if they are involved in the cooking and planning. We can make a molten lava cake in 15 minutes or chocolate chip cookies that don't come in squares.
