About Jose
I am a UF honors student, majoring in economics. I have an experienced background in mathematics, having been a leading member of my high school's Mathematics Honors Club, where I helped tutor my own underclassmen for months, on different topics from geometry to algebra and more. I have had a lot of experience teaching kids in the past, from teaching them how to swim in a club I helped cofound to teaching them about nature in my time as a volunteer worker at a nature camp.

As a math tutor for elementary and middle schoolers, I bring a unique blend of patience and passion to foster a positive learning environment. I adapt my teaching style from student to student, helping them foster their excitement to learn, making sure that they understand their topic by the end of the lesson. A typical lesson from me would include about 20 minutes going over all the information they had learned in school with them, clarifying any questions they might have had during class. After that we move to problems that I have tailor made to make sure to tackle the biggest topics they are learning in a way that gives them a full understanding of the subject.
