This is intended for introductory or beginning level learning. Think of this as a prep course to help you understand what you may learn about in future classes. I'm not one for hard due dates: life happens! Discussions and debates are how I teach most effectively, but you can expect that I would have you read an article or two or that I would quiz you on terminology.
History is not about memorizing boring facts and meaningless stats. I will teach you how to examine historical evidence, utilize popular research databases, and develop critical thinking skills. All of these skills are important to learn in life, not just for historians.
I have my Associates of History from Utah Valley University and am working to finish my Bachelor's of History through the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Other areas of introductory-level expertise:
I may determine the cost of travel if deemed necessary. I prefer teaching in a public space (i.e. a library) where resources applicable to my lessons are available. Accommodations can be made in most cases to fit each person's needs. I have chosen not to teach/tutor any person in my home.
