I believe in a healthy dose of the fundamental building blocks of brass playing, i.e. lip slurs, long tones, scale work, articulation work and range-building. My students also receive plenty of content-specific instruction based on their needs and interests such as improvisation, sight-reading and audition prep.
I am currently a Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas where I direct two large ensembles and teach secondary jazz trombone lessons. I hold a Bachelor's from the Eastman School of Music where I studied jazz and classical trombone performance.
I have always made my rate flexible for motivated students who want to learn. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if my hourly rate creates an issue and we can work out alternative pricing options.

Jack is a great lesson teacher who is super attentive and very flexible! I’ve been working with him for a few months and over that time he has helped my playing immensely and adapted to me very quickly.
