I work hard to make sure my students feel confident in their skills to master tests and content. I have taught hundreds of students from grades 5-12, and I am comfortable working one-on-one and in groups. I love teaching because I love learning--there is nothing like the feeling when information finally clicks together. Teaching allows me to provide that experience for countless students and help them conquer obstacles in order to achieve their dreams.
I am an experienced educator who graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. I have worked with a wide variety of students from my hometown in Marin County, my work with Teach for America in rural Mississippi, and my classroom in Brooklyn.
I scored a 760 on SAT Reading and a 740 on SAT writing as an 11th grader. Since then, I built my skills through writing seminars and liberal arts coursework at the UPenn. I scored a 780 on the math section of my own SAT and I have since gained experience teaching math to middle school and high school students, in addition to my own experience taking high school and college calculus.
I am a certified teacher, and I enjoy showing students how to crack these tests.

Nina and I taught down the hall from each other for two years. She is a very creative, adaptive, flexible, and smart teacher who is able to recognize the best ways for her students to learn and modify her lessons to serve them best. Nina cares about her students and their progress, and will do everything she can to make sure they're successful. I recommend Nina to other Superprof members because she's good at helping people see things from different angles and will try everything she can to help a student understand a concept.
I’ve been privileged to see Nina’s dedication to providing a quality education to her students firsthand. She is incredibly smart, a voracious learner, and constantly seeks to improve as a teacher.
I taught at the high school where Nina taught music for two years. She is responsible and timely, and her lessons are clear and concise. She is always well prepared and shows creativity in her teaching style.
