About Jacob

I am a current student of Jazz Bass Performance at Ball State University. I have been playing the bass for 10 years and have experience playing in various Jazz Ensembles and Symphony Orchestras. I have gigged around the Indianapolis area and have had the honor to be apart of an ensemble accepted to play at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in New York City.

My teaching method is strongly rooted in a hands on approach structured around learning tunes. By focusing on a jazz tune and dissecting it, I believe that my students will be able to learn a great deal about chord-scale relationships and various improvisatory techniques.
