My teaching method involves working through many examples carefully explaining each step and how it actually applies in a lab setting, followed by flashcards, writing out the notes again but more clearly, and endless practice problems. This is my same approach to studying, I succeed because I organize my notes and comprehend them this way then proceed to redo numerous problems until I can do them in my head. That is the same type of effort I would put into making sure you or your child understands the content.
I am a student at the College of Charleston majoring in chemistry and minoring in biology. I plan to pursue medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon after graduation (2022). I am on the executive board of AED (the national pre-health honor society), the AXE chemistry club, and Women in STEM organization. I am nearly finished with all chemistry courses. I have a strong foundation in all chemistry courses and have mastered both semesters of organic chemistry (A’s) as well as general chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry and am currently taking instrumental chemistry. I have also excelled in the coordinating labs. I am also conducting research on the thermoanalysis of polymers in the chemistry department.
