I am an experienced professor (Ph.D) with over 25 years of experience. I have taught all levels, privately and in colleges.: As Lecturer, Associate Lecturer and Assistant Professor: From Fall 2001 until now teaching French language and literature, francophone literature, and French culture and civilization, at all levels, including theories of translation and interpretation (training at the UN), linguistics and business French; elementary, modern Hebrew Language, communication for non-native speakers. Literature/Jewish Studies, and communication, at the following City University of New York’s colleges: Hunter, City College, La Guardia Community College, York College, the Borough of Manhattan Community College, Queens College and Queensborough Community College, as well as in private institutions such as the French Institute Alliance Française, Fordham University, The New School, St. John’s University, Barnard College Columbia University.
As mentioned above, I have been teaching (and still am) all levels of French. Privately and in classes (up to 30 students). My students were able to reach a high level of fluency (BA/MA) . Some students even found jobs in France and succeeded in their careers. My method is communicative, writing is essential but using the language verbally is very important. Also, students are encouraged all along which gives them the motivation to learn.
