My teaching method is guided release where I do a few problems to break the ice and demonstrate the skill and then the students and myself work together towards mastery and finally the students work independently while I observe and provide feedback if needed. I believe in a student-centered, culturally relevant creative pedagogy with a social justice angle.
I have taught math and English as a second language for six years since 2014 in urban, rural, online and in Thailand, Colombia, and Africa. I have a Bachelor's in Finance from Colorado Mesa, and I am half way through a Master's in Education from the University of San Diego with a focus in STEM/STEAM.
My rates are standard for professional educators with my background and experience. I have a no refund policy as my time is valuable and another student(s) will not be able to replace a cancellation.
