I am a math teacher who has taught and tutored secondary students (grades 7-12) and collegiate scholars. I have experience with 1-1 instruction in person and online, small group instruction, and whole class instruction. I bring my secondary educational background to my lessons which utilizes white boards and encouraging the student to participate. The one who is doing the writing and speaking is most often the one learning!
One of my students grew from the 47th percentile to the 92nd percentile in math across one semester. Using averages, my group of 100 students at my current school grew 130% the projected math points on a standardized school assessment. In my math lab, I was able to motivate 10 students to complete a Mathalon, which is a cumulative mastery of grade-level skills and standards in a quarter's time (1/2 of a traditional semester).

Dan really knows his Calc 2. He was able to see where I needed improvement and then he made sure to drive those points home. He has patients and a great personality. Easy to work with. He also changed his weekend plans and drove 50 miles to help me study for my Calc 2 final exam. I would recommend Dan to anyone!
