Methodology

I have had a unique opportunity to learn the language in the country of origin as I immersed myself in France’s rich culture and excelled at my French. This rich experience taught me a lot about learning a foreign language in a difficult, but at the same time, rewarding setting. I have created a learning method based on my experience which I use to teach French to my students. This method immerses the tutee in a dynamic, real-life situation—as if the tutee is living in France—which enormously accelerates the learning process.

Background

I am Hamid. I learned French in Paris. I’ve earned a master’s degree in French. As a teaching assistant, I have taught French to undergraduate students at the University of Oklahoma. I have tutored many students and individuals, ranging from high school students, to college students, to young and old individuals. For beginner and intermediate speakers, I work on improving grammar, comprehension, and speaking; and for fluent speakers, I offer advanced curriculum (college-level coursework if needed) to improve their knowledge and fluency.

I would prefer to have a consultation (free) with the tutee. This way, I can get to know the student’s level of proficiency, and accordingly fine-tune my immersion method to match the the tutee’s needs. Please feel free to contact me to set up a free consultation session. Once we begin the tutoring sessions, I require a 24-hour advance notice for cancellation. Usually, I am unavailable on Saturdays and Sundays. But occasionally, I can make time.

Rates

Transportation Fee : $6

Rate for online lessons : $60/h

Rate for 5 hours of lessons : $290

Rate for 10 hours of lessons : $550
