I am willing to work with students of any age, level, characteristics, etc. who are interested in learning and/or improving their Spanish and who want to do online tutoring. I adapt my teaching style to fit the needs of every student. To do so, I find out what my students are struggling with as well as what their goals and interests are. This knowledge allows me to help my students improve their weaker areas and reach their goals, all while making the learning experience as fun as possible by connecting the tutoring experience with subjects that interest them.
A few years ago, I decided to learn to speak Spanish fluently by listening extensively to YouTube videos of native Spanish speakers. Learning Spanish fascinated me so much that I decided to major in Spanish and in Linguistics in college. Thanks to these experiences, I have had the privilege of communicating with speakers from all parts of the Spanish-speaking world (Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, etc.). I would love to provide you with my knowledge of how to best learn Spanish and sound like a native speaker so you can reach your Spanish-related goals.
I have had extensive experience creatively adapting my teaching methods to suit students' needs. For example, a few years ago, I tutored a sixth-grade girl who was failing math. I taught the sixth-grader math with musical concepts (e.g., I showed her half-steps on my ukulele), which allowed her to pass her math class. I have also given piano lessons to children, tutored my classmates in many different subjects on a weekly basis, and volunteered at an educational day camp. I would love to adapt my teaching methods to your specific needs so that you, like all my other students, can succeed. Let's learn Spanish together! :)
First of all, please note that, at this time, I am only offering online lessons (by webcam). My cancellation policy is as follows: you can cancel your tutoring session up to 24 hours before the start of the session with no fees incurred. You may cancel one time within 24 hours of the start of the session with no fees incurred; after that, however, you will be charged a fee of $10 for cancelling within 24 hours of the session start time.
