With my license in Middle Childhood Education, I have mostly taught at the middle school (5-8) level. However, I have also taught elementary school students as part of a summer program and tutored high school students. Across all ages, my core teaching strategy stays constant, teaching students how to ask meaningful, thought-provoking questions and then building off of those questions to their knowledge of a topic.
I am a teacher with a degree and certification in Middle Childhood Education from The Ohio State University. My licensed areas are science and social studies but have also taught math at times throughout my career. I have been teaching for 3 years now, most recently at a charter school in Cleveland.

Austin is always dedicated to his students and anyone he helps on an academic level. When he would edit and critique papers or projects for me and my friends, he would always look with a critical but understanding eye. He is great at explaining your missteps clearly and kindly, and always provides ways to improve or different ways to look at problems.
Austin was a previous supervisor of mine. In my time knowing Austin, I have found that he is extremely passionate about teaching which can be observed through his preparation and patience. Austin's preparation alone separates him from others as it sets him (and therefore his students) up for success! I highly recommend Austin as a tutor for anyone!
Austin and I have been friends for several years. In this time, I’ve known him to be a very talented and dedicated educator. Even on bad days Austin is excited about inspiring the motivations of future generations. I would recommend him on superprof because he has always put in the work and you will not regret giving him a chance. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
I have been able to see the passion Austin has for teaching first hand and that translates to the time and energy and energy he spends on it. I highly recommend him as a tutor!
Austin spent time tutoring my sister to go over her paper. She was really struggling with her transitions and he helped her create a more cohesive paper and boost her confidence! After his time she ended up with an A on a paper she was initially nervous about.
