Marine and genetic scientist looking to share my love and interest of biology with today’s students!

Methodology

I like to get a brief understanding of what the student already knows and work from there. I have always been a visual learner so I am very big on diagrams and color coding. Instead of just answering a question, I like to talk it through and make sure the student really understands the answer before moving on.

Background

I currently work at the UT Marine Science Institute as a research assistant, and I have a background in ecology and molecular genetics. I graduated from Ohio University in 2018 with a bachelors of science in biology, and I have worked in the clinical/ medical field and natural science field. I also have experience teaching kids from helping my mom run her daycare all through middle school and high school.
