My teaching method focusses on problem areas for the student/s, therefore every lesson is different and specific to each student's needs. I currently tutor a 10 year old student who enjoys learning about aspects of science she does not receive in school, therefore I tailor lessons to include a fun science aspect as well as tackling elementary math that she is currently struggling with in class. Conversely, I have a 17 year old high school student who needs specific help in Chemistry for her upcoming exams. Therefore, the content in these lessons starts topical, giving her a solid foundation in the particular area she is struggling with, then we move onto exam practice. I give a generous amount of time in lessons for her to tackle past exam (or exam-like questions) while I am there as a guide, helping her problem-solving skills and encouraging her to dive into the appropriate knowledge on the subject.
I have a Master's in Chemistry with Biomedicine from King's College London in London, United Kingdom. I graduated top of my class this past year (2020). I have been a private tutor for ages 10-18 for the past 5 years in Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
My cancellation policy is to inform me 12 hours in advance if you are unable to attend the lesson. If less time is given, then I will charge half of my usual rate for the missed lesson. I charge more per hour if college-level Chemistry or Mathematics help is required, please speak to me for more details.
