About the lesson

In my years of experience as a high school and college tutor, I have heard very positive feedback on my adaptive approach to each subject. Depending on the student and the problem, I may incorporate anything from shapes, visuals, and scenarios to equations, rules, and acronyms. Anything to give the student a thorough understanding of what's going on. From there, the shortcuts and formulas they get in class become more intuitive, and in time my students grow confident in their ability to master new material on their own.

About Samuel

In college, I was involved in several research labs involving everything from quality testing cables for use in CERN's particle detectors to pulmonary immunology at Washington University in St. Louis to winning an undergraduate award for my coronavirus research proposal at KU in Spring 2020. My favorite academic project, however, was developing and earning my own brand new degree that I designed for pre-medicine physics majors.

Extracurricular, I had a great time leading my fraternity for two terms as scholarship chairman, raising our house GPA from 3.03 to 3.27. I played on our intramural indoor and outdoor soccer teams, and am proud to say I graduated college with two championship t-shirts.

Since college, I have applied to medical schools twice, each time securing interviews and waitlist positions at WashU in St Louis and KUMC. Now, I work full-time as a driver/mover at Two Men and a Truck as I save up to reapply next year. I also got a chainsaw and am learning to DIY some furniture!
