I thoroughly believe in engaging the student first in order to show that I'm invested in their well-being. The content is secondary. Once a relationship of trust has been built, then the task is determining the areas of disconnect and using multiple strategies in order to get the material across. Thinking about the material holistically and not just from a linear perspective helps students to make the necessary connections between what they've learned in the past and new topics.

Horace was a fantastic tutor with my 7th grader. We specifically wanted him to have help in preparation for the state test in math. Horace was super flexible with our schedule, provided extra materials and helped our son thoroughly prepare by reviewing current classwork as well as helping him prepare a toolbox of strategies that he would need. Horace is warm and professional and got along well with our son. I highly recommend him.
Mr. Simmonds is one the greatest tutors I have come across. He takes his time and ensures that you understand the task at hand. If you can’t grasp something one way he’ll demonstrate another. I was able to obtain my High School Equivalency Diploma (GED) within 3 months, Thanks to him. Begin ya journey to greater education right now!
I have known him since his young manhood, specifically for 20 years. I worked as an officer in the very competitive academic program to which he was invited. He is conscientious person with great integrity. He also happens to be a very able mathematician!
