I believe in order to teach effectively, a student must be given correct and appropriate context. To learn calculus without learning its purpose is not to learn it to its fullest. I like to provide relatable examples to help students see the purpose of what is being learned.
I graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Mechanical engineering. My studies focused primarily on calculus, physics, and applied mathematics. I worked as a math tutor for over a year while in school and am looking forward to getting back into teaching on the side.
