I base my classes solely on the student I prefer to start with what the student knows and build on that area as well as teach fundamentals to lay the foundations for concepts since they tend to build on one another.
I am a current medical school student at CWRU SOM. I have been tutoring since high school and have tutored and mentored students on most STEM subjects except those related to engineering. I also can help with premedical advisement and medical school applications as well as college entrance applications.

I have known Tamia for 4 years and I generally reserve superlatives, but her actions warrant them. Tamia was my student, involved in research with me, and ultimately I hired her as a mentor and tutor for my students. It was the best decision for them and me. She’s responsible, very smart and has a personality that is engaging. They gained insight into how and why to study and so much more. I wish she were still here with me, I would keep her forever in my service as a professor. Thank you, Tamia. ~Dr. Tanganyika Wilder
Tamia is a trustworthy teacher because she cares about you and how well you comprehend your course work. Tamia takes the time to break brown the material so it is easy to digest, and at the same time comfortable for you. Since working with Tamia my grades have improved tremendously and I can’t thank her enough. Tamia will defiantly help anyone achieve scholastic greatness, so trust her!
Tamia is an amazing choice for a tutor! She is patient, master of several subjects, understanding of the student's initial/current comprehensive levels of the subject(s), adaptive in her teaching style to better enhance the student's learning experience, and empathetic to whatever extraneous circumstances might be affecting the student. With all these qualities, it's safe to say that Tamia goes the extra mile every time to ensure that she provides a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for the student to learn. I personally know this to be true because Tamia has tutored several of my engineering student mentees when I worked as a Academic Excellence and Volunteer Coordinator at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. Their struggles in General Chemistry were things she was a master of and she helped raise 4 of their grades from D's and C's to B's and A's! They all praised Tamia for her tutoring skills, too, often times telling how much better they understood the concepts once they left tutoring (during our meet-ups). Tamia graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from our undergraduate university and I am more than happy to recommend her as a tutor for anyone's child, student, or friend!!!
Ms. Tamia is an excellent tutor. She makes subject matter easy to understand therefore improving the retention of information for students. She is accessible and easy to work with, should a student need her, she is there to answer their questions in a timely manner. If you are you struggling in areas of science and math Ms. Tamia is a great help! I would definitely recommend Ms. Tamia as your next tutor because she is patient, kind, and truly cares that her students succeed.
