I'm a 3rd year medical school student currently doing rotations in hospitals in and near Chicago.
I'm comfortable with most subject areas- obvious strength in the biological sciences- for grades from 1st to high school, and
I will happily tutor adults in English or Spanish.
I think it's important to see expectations in our first meeting- academic and social. As long as we meet our goals each meeting, I am decently flexible and prefer to use positive reinforcement.
I have always loved learning and know that one of the best ways to master any subject is to teach it so I've peppered my education with a lot of tutoring experiences.
In high school, I volunteered at an after school program tutoring middle school students.
Inot college, I tutored Biology 101 students in the past. I was recommended for my college writing center my Freshmen and sophomore year. After graduating, I was an English Language Assistant in Japan for 2 years, and after returning, taught Japanese for a few months to 6th graders.
I was also an assistant teacher for 6th graders for a year before I began medical school.
Last year, I worked for and then became site director of an after school program in Naples, Florida for about 9 months.
