My approach is tailored to the individual student. In general, I find that modeling, followed by strategic questioning, works best for most students. My goal is to get students to the point where they can "teach" me the concept - it is at that point I know they have achieved mastery.
I am an educator. I have taught middle-grades math as a classroom teacher for 7 years. I have tutored students from middle school to college in various math classes for 20+ years. My students have stated they saw an increase in comfortability with math, grades, and assessment performance after our lessons.
For middle-school students, the rate is $40 per hour. For high school students, the rate is $45 per hour. For college students and above, the rate is $50 per hour.
