Methodology
I hold a Bachelors Degree in Communications. I have been a homeschool mom for 11 years. I taught reading for 4 years in a private school. I love to read and desire to help elementary children to develop a love to read as well. I primarily use a Phonics system including initial letter sounds, blends and sight words. I use large gestures, puppets, flashcards, books, and general sillines to make learning fun.
Background
I have experienced amazing satisfaction in seeing children understand phonetical combinations and read. The most exciting, especially my daughter, as she repeated and "got it" while practicing with stuffed critters and special puppets. Children learn quicker and easier if they are having fun.
