Hello,
As you can see, I have a diverse set of interests and talents. My study of Mathematics led me to work in the Hi-Tech industries where I not only worked on computer systems but became a highly sought after Technical and Organizational Development Instructor having taught classes in the US, Canada, Hong Kong and Korea for Tandem Computers. Later as a technical consultant I worked throughout the US as well as in Canada, Mexico, Korea, Hong Kong, Viet Nam, and Australia. I am effective in diverse cultural environments.
While attending college I began my study of karate which has lasted 54 years at this point. I have taught karate at Florida State University, UC-Davis, Memorex, Tandem Computers, and Intel. I also owned and taught at a professional karate school in Los Gatos, CA. My study of karate led me to training under several Zen masters and this led me to become interested in Psychology, mental health and personal development. I not only obtained my MA in Psychology but had the good fortune to study and/or intern under founders of a form of counseling which recognizes that people are innately healthy but innocently get off track. They can learn what mental health is and how to stay on track. This makes counseling more productive and easier on both the professional and the client. This understanding also applies to team building. For a number of years, I conducted “Eliminating Stress” seminars for Tandem Computers which helped thousands of employees and their spouses. In addition, I worked with struggling teams helping them achieve their goals on time and under budget. I also consulted at a number of Hi-Tech firms and government agencies and worked at a family therapy agency in the Silicon Valley. I also provided training in this “Health Realization” paradigm to other mental health professionals and the general public.
I have also authored a book “Discovery Mode” which addresses many personal and organizational problems.
Advisory Technical and Organizational Development Trainer

Delivered these courses to students of diverse cultural backgrounds including Hong Kong, Korea, Canada, and the US.
Developed and delivered internal organizational development training to select organizations (i.e. Legal Department, Hardware R and D, Software Development) as well as general seminars such as “Eliminating Stress” for employees of Tandem Computers and their families. This work enabled once struggling teams to meet or exceed their goals for product deliverables while experiencing a dramatically more positive work environment.

Counseling Intern
Campbell Family Therapy – 1994 to 1995
Counseled parents, children, couples and individuals helping them find happiness and peace of mind.

Conducted public seminars in the area of 3 Principles – innate mental health.
Provided technical consulting in the areas of performance tuning and capacity planning for customers of Tandem Computers. Customers included the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, Korean Stock Market, BanaMex, JPMorgan Chase, Exxon-Mobil, US West Teleservices, ANZ Bank, AG Edwards, Bank One, Huntington Bank and many others. Some banks ran Base24 applications. My consulting enabled customers systems to perform their work with greater efficiency and reduced cost.
Consulted as a performance analyst for JPMorgan Chase from 2006 – 2012. Designed and delivered daily performance data collection and reporting system for NonStop systems running TSYS’ authorization software. Worked with quarterly performance testing teams, DBA’s, programmers, etc. to identify and correct performance problems in the quarterly software releases. Developed and implemented a capacity model for the NonStop authorization system which was used to plan new hardware acquisition.
Provided instruction in Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate to adults at Intel Computers, Tandem Computers, and at my karate school where I also trained younger students. Students became stronger, more coordinated and gained a more positive outlook on life. I found this training corrected several students who had been diagnosed as ADHD.
