I tailor each lesson to the tastes, interests, and goals of individual students, while still maintaining a strong focus in the fundamentals. My students range in age from 6 to 50, though most are between 12-18, mostly beginners and "late beginners." I utilize the Alfred's Piano Library lesson and theory books for beginners, and the Adult version for older students.
I am a music and history teacher at a local private school in the Pee Dee region. I have been giving private lessons in piano, guitar, bass, music theory, sightreading, saxophone, and music composition for nearly fifteen years. I've taught dozens of students privately and through my teaching position, and have an established reputation for improving musicianship (and staging epic concerts).
I charge $30 for a half-hour (thirty-minute) lesson. I typically do not offer hour-long lessons except for more advanced students, but I do occasionally teach 45-minute lessons at a rate of $45.
